11 Preparing your heart for revelation
Wait on theLORD and watch to see what he will say.
Hab 2:1 I will stand on my guard post And station myself on the rampart; And I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me, And how I may reply when I am reproved.
Like Habakkuk position your spirit to hear from the LORD by waiting on Him.
1Co 14:32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
The prophets had earnest desire to receive revelation from the LORD , they were not passive .
1Pe 1:10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets sought and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you.
Like Jesus only did what he saw the father doing.
Soaking in his presence is a good place to receive revelation.
12 How words of knowledge are perveived.
Job 33:14 For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.
Here we see it isn’t that God doesn’t speak but its that we don’t perceive or recognize.
Here are some ways you may receive a word of knowledge
Feeling of pain
Mental Picture
Thought
Impression
See prophetically as you look, as the LORD asked the prophets: what do you see?
Memorys returning
Spontaneous utterance
13 How to use words of knowledge
a) Often a word of knowledge can be released in the form of a question, as Jesus did with the woman at the well.
Joh 4:16 Jesus said to her, Go, call your husband and come here.
b) Don't be afraid to be honest about the degree of clarity you have
c) Be willing to make mistakes and take risks
d) Stay in a spirit of compassion. Jesus was consistently moved with compassion. He saw and did what the Father was doing as the compassion moved him.
14 Compassion
Go to where the compassion of the Holy Spirit leads you, that is often where the anointing is.
The fathers commission of the anointing of His son was a commission of mercy.
Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed;
Luke 4:19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
15 Jesus was often moved with compassion resulting in healing the sick.
Matthew 9:36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.
Matthew 20:34 So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.
Matthew 14:14 And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.
This same compassion that moved Jesus, the Father wants to put in you, and it will compel you to go wher His heart is.
2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died;
The supernatural compassion of the Holy Spirit is often the leading of the Spirit, either to pray, or go for the one whom the compassion is towards. Sometimes the compassion comes as you go, as your eyes are opened to the no-ones you are called to with the gosple.
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Often when a word of knowledge or a prophetic word comes, the mercy of the Spirit can move you simultaneously with the revelation.
Ask the Father to compel your heart with HIS HEART.
