6 Cornelius' vision was instrumental to release a move of GOD on the gentiles.
Act 10:3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
7 Peter had a vision to release him past his own boundaries and predujidice into the full plan of GOD for lost gentiles.
Act 10:17 Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate.
8 Paul was led by the LORD in visions for harvesting souls.
Act 16:9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.
Act 16:10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.
9 The LORD told Paul to stay in Corinth by a vision.
Act 18:9 And the Lord said to Paul in the night by a vision, "Do not be afraid any longer, but go on speaking and do not be silent;
Act 18:10 for I am with you, and no man will attack you in order to harm you, for I have many people in this city."
Act 18:11 And he settled there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
10 Some practical ways of moving in the word of knowledge
a) Let the thoughts of the LORD become precious to you, to the point where you desire strongly for Him to share them with you.
A word of knowledge can be one off the all-knowing Father's thoughts about someone which He shares with you.
Psa 139:17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
Psa 139:18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
b) Strongly desire the gifts
1Co 14:1 Follow after love, and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.
Having a fervent desire for his gifts is the entrance gate into receiving more as the Holy Spirit does not tell us to desire something we cannot have.
The only time we are told to covet in the bible is when it comes to spiritual gifts. (covet meaning to wish, crave, or desire strongly)
1Co 14:39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.
1Co 12:31 But covet earnestly the best gifts.
c) Have a revelation that it is the fathers pleasure to give you them
Luk 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
The father gives us the gifts with pleasure
d) Ask for spiritual gifts
Luk 11:13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
You don't have, because you don't ask. James ch 4v2(paraphrased)
e) 2Ti 1:6 Therefore I remind you to inflame anew the gift of God, which is in you by the putting on of my hands.
Rom 1:11 For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, to the end that you may be established;
f) Also for those operating in gifts not just to preach, but also impart. Recognise you can give away what you have received.
As Jesus said, freely you have received, freely give. Matt 10:8
g) Take risks! Be willing to be vulnerable.
2Co 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2Co 12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
h) Don’t be afraid of weakness as sometimes the power of God is more effective when we step out in vulnerability.
