Keys from scripture in power evangelism.
1 Commission versus permission.
Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority is given to Me in Heaven and in earth.
Mat 28:19 Therefore go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Remember, you are commissioned; you do not have to wait for permission to come from anyone. He who has all authority in heaven and earth has already spoken, and told you to go.
2 The problem is not the harvest it’s the laborers.
Mat 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few;
Jesus said the laborers are few. There are people ready right now to be saved but the question is, will the Christians become laborers?
The problem is the lack of harvesters, not the lack of harvest.
Joh 4:35 "Do you not say, 'There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest.
3 We receive the baptism in the Spirit to be His witnesses who have more than mere words.
Acts ch1v8Act 1:8 But you shall receive power, the Holy Spirit coming upon you. And you shall be witnesses to Me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
Do not limit the baptism in the Spirit to speaking in tongues, as it is the power for winning souls.
