Romans 1:4and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.
The very Power of the Spirit that raised JESUS from the dead gives witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus through us as He did the apostles
Acts 4:33And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.
You are called to be a witness of HIS resurrection
Acts 2:32This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.
Acts 1:22beginning from the baptism of John to that day when He was taken up from us, one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection.”
Power from on high and been a witness of HIS resurrection are one
Acts 1:8But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
They very same exceeding greatness of his power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him on the throne is toward us, who believe,
Ephesians 1:19and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power
Ephesians 1:20which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
So we are witnesses of HIS resurrection not in word only but carry the very SPIRIT that raised him from the dead, that bears witness to the resurrection of the SON of GOD with acts of power
Hebrews 2:4God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?
Today we have left the power of the HOLY SPIRIT and began relying on our own human abilities to persuade people with the gospel
Zechariah 4:6So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.
Paul’s speech and preaching was in the demonstration of the SPIRIT not in soulish words of human wisdom and ability
1 Corinthians 2:4And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
The result of the preaching with demonstration of the SPIRIT was that your faith would be in the power of GOD not human wisdom and ability , Paul wasn’t relying on HIS own human wisdom , but was completely dependent on the Power of the Spirit as a result that what was manifest through him
1 Corinthians 2:5that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
We need to repent from dead works and return to the gospel that is the power of GOD to salvation for everyone who believes
Hebrews 6:1Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,
Dead works can also be things are a manifestation activities that are leaning on our own wisdom and strength and tradition , the word of GOD tell us repentance from these is a first step for a believer
JESUS said follow me and I will make you fishers of men
Mark 1:17Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”
The call from JESUS was follow me , the result of following HIM was becoming fishers of men , as they followed him they would be made fishers of men , in the life of following JESUS they were continually been called to simplicity and child like faith that demanded laying down self reason and leaning on ones own understanding for trust in HIS wisdom and power and resource , the every day activities of such that demanded complete laying aside of human reason for exploring the resource of his power as they stepped out in obedience
The ministry of JESUS is the same as it was he has never changed only we have left following HIM for other things, if JESUS were on earth now as he was he would be doing the same things
Hebrews 13:8Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Now we are HIS body on earth and he has need of every member to fulfil the ministry of JESUS
1 Corinthians 12:27Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
The head of the body is JESUS,
Ephesians 5:23For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
The head cannot say to the feet I have need of you, the LORD has need of you as his feet to go where he sends
1 Corinthians 12:21And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.”
