The Vision
Equipping the saints for the work of the ministry
by encouraging the workers to begin to harvest...
Ephesians 4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
Ephesians 4:12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
Ephesians 4:13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
To equip means a preparation or training that fully qualifies, basically to posses the adaquate skills to complete a task.
God gave the roles of apostle, prophet, teacher, evangelist, pastor and teacher not to do the job for you, but to equip and mobilize you into the work of the ministry.
There is a harvest... We have been sowing seeds in many areas for a very long time, and we need to begin to reep.
Luk 10:2 Then He said to them, The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest that He may send forth laborers into His harvest.
I was out evangelising one night in the town near where I live. As I was walking I saw a group of youths in a group and I felt God prompt me to just straight out ask the question; "Does anyone want to recieve Jesus tonight as their Lord and Savior?" And to my surprise, literally all of them put up there hands and said yes!
There are many people that will engage you in intellectual debate for hours about religion if you let them. I think God wants to show them who He is more than He wants to entertain them with complex theologies.
There are people ready to say YES to Jesus, let's not complicate things more than they have to be.
My hope is that this will be a prophetic call to those who are saved to go out and begin to reap the harvest which is ready, to freely give to others the gift which Christ as freely given us.
